Virus Total - Online Scanner
Virus threat has an exponential development.Nothing new under the sun.
Even the most sophisticated antivius solutions fail to cover the humongous number of daily new viruses, trojans, malwares , etc …”signatures” . That’s obviously impossible
The no1 standard proffesional advice is : “Be carefull with what you’re dowloading on your computer!” We’ll talk later in our “Security Series” about a few more technical solutions ( like virtualization ) .
But right now we strongly advice everybody to use the “Virus Total Online Scanner” service.
You can dowload the needed file or folder on your desktop. But NEVER install/run/ play/edit it without this fast and effective security checkout. Just upload “the suspect” (folders must be compressed ) on their site … … And let the best ( and expensive otherwise ) 36 anti virus softwares work for you ! ( Kaspersky , Nod32, Panda ,etc… ) All that for free ! Watch carefully the results !

Known malwares may be already identified or the files behaviour can be revealed as “suspect”. If there is only one (or 2) “just suspect” there is no need to worry and you can proceed in installing ( editting etc…) your file/folder. And again …If there are more than 2 or 3 only “suspect” results … You might better delete those naughty files/folders.
