Humyo – 10 GB Free Online Storage ( Backup , Sharing , Sync ) + A Cool Web Player

Good things don’t last forever .
When launched , not long ago , Humyo made a buzz in the online storage/backup/share/sync world ….

… Mainly by offering an important amount of 30 GB storage space ( 25 for media files and 5 for any other type ).
But recently they have reduced the storage space - for the free personal account - down to 10 GB ( 5 + 5 ) .

We can understand commercial reasons (in fact a probable lack in their initial marketing strategy) . But , as “preachers of for free” , we hope that they’ll stop here . Because it is still one of the most interesting free offer on the market .

The friendly interface with flexible services ( ie. handy drag and drop file uploading with a Java applet ) brought positive reactions . One can even create folders, sort by type and edit any of the stored files directly in the browser,changes beeing saved directly online . You can access your data and media anywhere and work with your documents from any web browser or mobile phone even when your computer is offline .

The cherry on the cake is the possibility to play music and videos directly on the qualitative Humyo Web Player .
Add the possibility to upload a solid amount of media files - from your computer but ALSO DIRECTLY FROM ANY WEBSITE - and the alternative to share these files on the Humyo network
… You get the picture ! Imagine the amount of music and video media files beeing uploaded, stored and hosted on Humyo servers .

We have found this interesting tip about how to search for such Humyo shared media files on the web .

As very well explained in MyDigitalLife.info article :

* -”Most of the media files are shared, published or embedded somewhere on the web. With the power of Google, it’s possible to search and reveal what files have been uploaded to Humyo and shared or posted by uploaders, and available for free download.
* - … To search for all Humyo download links that has been posted on Internet web pages, forums and blogs, enter the following search query in Google, including the quotation marks:  “www.humyo.com/F/”
* - … To search for all URLs from humyo.com domain which, of course, includes all the download links (the search results will be lesser, as not all download URLs are been crawled and indexed):  “site:humyo.com”
* - … User can refine and narrow down the search by adding the keywords (file format, movie name, drama series name, artist or singer name or etc) that you want to search specifically, as the file name of the uploaded file in Humyo is included into the page title and content, making it searchable in Google search engine.
* - … Once a download link pages of Humyo is found, users can use the Humyo player on the page to instantly stream media content to view or listen to the file, or click the “Download File” link to download the file to your computer (registration of free account membership on Humyo required).”
