Glary Utilities was one of our fav toolkits for tweaking, repairing, optimizing and improving performance on Windows 98/ME/2000/2003/XP/NT/Vista … And we have got it from GAOTD  in May 2007 !
We have mainly appreciated a certain “discretion” of this software - a positive one - coming from the fact that it does its job smoothly , never causing whatever trouble ( and we have use it quite intensively ! )
Remember that it also has a very reliable built-in Restore Center which allows undoing all or specific modifications made when using it .

We say “was”  not because we find it less qualitative today , but because all similar top softwares ( including  G. U. ) have evolved and their today’s versions have bassically the same (numerous) features . The tiny differences  make us “suspect” that the final choice could be just ” a matter of taste”  .

Today’s Giveaway - the Pro version of Glary Utilities has one single extra feature, compairing to the free version : automatic care in background . But do we really need this feature - an extra charge on the system - when we can simply do regular scan and cleaning sessions ?

A second extra feature - more important this time - would have been the commercial licence of the Pro version . But again , like in all GAOTD’s cases , there’s the clause of ” Strictly non-commercial usage” that nullifies this possibility .

Generally speaking ,  the extra features coming with the pro-premium-gold-platinum versions , might not be so important after all . You can always find what your computer needs in the free versions .

On the other hand separate /specialized tools are doing a much proper job , avoiding to ( somehow ) “take  control” over the system - like a complex all-in-one “suite” might do .
Think about famous free - real references - tools like CCleaner , EasyCleaner ,  Revo Uninstaler , JK Defrag , TweakUI , Process Explorer , AutoRuns, Spyware TerminatorDoctor etc … And you’ll surely see what we mean .

Nevertheless , like the others above mentioned all-in-one similar top products , Glary Utilities is a very handy and reliable tool for computer users not having the time and mood to use separate softwares for cleaning , tweaking, repairing, optimizing and improving system’s performance .

We also recommend this kind of software to begginers, but we suggest to use them with care . Always do backups before deleting anything ! If problems troubleshootings occur shortly after cleaning , restore those modifications imediately
