O&O Safe Erase 2 - Free Promo
This time we tell it from the very beggining : the promoted version - V2 - is not Vista compatible . The latest V3 ( worth $29.95 ) has this advantage .
Advanced users might already know that deleting a file/folder by moving it into the recycle bin ( and then emptying it ) DOES NOT REMOVE THE DATA ITSELF . It remains on the hard disk and can therefore be removed .

Features :
- total integration into Windows Explorer ( just right click to see options in the Context Menu );
- accidental deletion of important files is avoided - you will always be asked to confirm this action;
- entire drive volumes can be erased through the Context Menu by right-clicking on the drive itself;
- “Free Space Wiping” - all free disk space is overwritten and already deleted files annihilated ( select “Secure Deletion of Free Disk Space” );
- O&O TotalErase feature - securely delete an entire computer, including all of its data, all at once. A world’s first brought by O&O !
- 5 levels for setting the Deletion Method : Highest Security (35 Cycles executed in a random order ) , High Security (7 Cycles) , Moderate Security (6 Cycles) , Low Security (3 Cycles) , Lowest Security (1 Cycle - the fastest but offering the most limited security )
- “O&O SafeMove” - allows securely moving files and folders ( by a secure deletion of the source file )
- “Securely Empty Recycle Bin” - by right clicking the recycle bin ;
- “Securely Erase a Partition” - by right clicking that partition ;
- ability to operate SafeErase using command-line input from the Windows Command Prompt .
Please bear in mind that data deleted with O&O SafeErase are no longer restorable! Data deleted just once with O&O SafeErase can never be reconstructed.
