You have all seen how CS Odessa decided to close down the promotion for ConceptDraw when it became too popular. It was fast, we all must agree !
As said somewhere in comments, when answering to a friend proposing 2 (!) workarounds for still getting ConceptDraw: “Normally this kind of workaround would have been fantastic for all our friends. But in this case - like you’ve said - is ILLEGAL ( more than unfair ). We publish about promotions as long as the developers keeps them alive on the net. Odessa closed down this last one and WE ALL SHOULD RESPECT THEIR DECISION.” We have also said that Odessa is one of our fav software developer and you can be sure we’ll have our own promotions on their products. Just be patient!
We hope most of our regular visitors grabbed this good professional software. AT LEAST WE’RE SURE THE + 70 ACTIVE MEMBERS - PRE-NOTIFIED BY E-MAIL - HAVE SUCCESFULLY DOWNLOADED , REGISTERED AND INSTALLED THE GIVEAWAY. The advantage of being the first to know !
For those not knowing exactly our way of protecting and favouring our regular readers, please read all details in Hot Find , HF 2 and HF 3.
This unpleasant situation - a fast negative reaction from the developer - can actually help our community. It was the best answer at the question ” Why to “apply” for the 4 Free ( trademark 
) e-mail pre-notification about freebies hot finds ?”. Maybe a few more silent ones ( from + 10 000 monthly regular visitors ) will decide to start participating. We remind everybody you should start by giving your 3 software giveaway wishes in order to allow our community to drow some conclusions on what are the softwares we should insist in negociations for our own promotions.
Of course opened promotions ( to all visitors ) are hard to obtain ( unless you’re proposing a serious deal ) … But we assure you that punctual ones are not that hard to get ( again : if you propose a serious deal ). That’s why we say ” … You never know what nice surprise can arrive in your e-mail”.
Please don’t mix up “being qualified for a 4 free soon coming own limited promotion” and “being entitled to receive a hot find pre-notification by e-mail”. More details on this in the Make a wish article .
Looking over our site’s history you’ll see that we have always kept our word when we have promised something.
As you can all see in comments we can count on aprox 150 active members ( + 80 very active ). Not bad at all! … But not very impressive for a software developer. Let’s make a few silent ones - among + 10 000 visitors coming DIRECTLY on monthly bases - starting partcipating. Remember a simple “Hello!” would prove your presence ( not talking about the respect for those working for this community ) … And will make you become officially “one of us”.
As for making our Project more popular around the web : We’ve had + 3000 brand new visitors this week. Welcome friends! Please enjoy our site and start taking into considertion the possibility to participate in our Project - which can be described, in simple words : ” Obtaining free shareware promotions by using the strenghts of a community”.
In reality you’ll all see the Project is complex enough and we are confident any software developer will accept at least one of our methods.
All active members can see the percentage of new active members is minimal ( when seeing the total amount of regular visitors from above ). We can all understand one can hesitate before participating in a new project. Nevertheless the regular presence of the silent friends tells us they enjoy what they find on 4 Free … Unless they find normal to ONLY take ( sometimes ) valuable informations ( and to use them somewhere else ) without leaving a simple “Hi !” ( we don’t like the “Thank You”’s )

You have provided a forum for providing a 3-program Wishlist, but I have been unable to find a separate forum for the requested list of our 5 favorite freeware programs to share with the community. Could you please post a permanent link for sharing information about useful freeware programs? Even more useful would be compiling these user recommendations into an database organized by software class / individual program / individual user recommendations.
Also, I have attempted to make detailed posts in the past only to find the comment timeout or reach a white screen saying I must have cookies, Java or some other add-on active when all these features ARE already active on my PC. I refresh the screen or go back to the reply page only to find my post comments are lost forever. Can you address this issue as well? It is very frustrating to spend time typing a useful post only to have these comments disappear into the ether!

Please be patient about the Top 5 freewares. It’s on the list but we’re not in a hurry. Hope you’ll understand we preferr to let our friends focus everytime on what we have to say in our last article AND ALSO WHAT ARE THE FEEDBACKS IN COMMENTS. Because we respect your free time and we don’t ask for more than 2-5 minutes per day ( or 15-20 min per week )
About the anti-spam : please read our answers to other comments right here. Writing the comment in a bloc-notes before putting it ( copy-paste ) on the site would be a good temporary solution.
We also know that concise comments pass without problems.( though there are also long comments passing ). If you want to develop a very interesting subject NOW - BEFORE THE FORUM STARTS WORKING - you should first tell us what is this about ( before starting to work). THAT will avoid wasted work.
If we agree on publishing it you’ll be able to send it by email, like Franck did.
Hope you’ll appreciate the detailed answer ( and not taking it bad ). Thank you !

i recommended our site to one of my friends; when he tried to access the site, his company firewall detected it as a malicious site.
do look into this too… may be due to spam…. if so leave it …. sorry to disturb, with an issue once again.

Hi guys! You seem to have an innumerable stock of useful shareware promos! Glad to hear the next one is about to be published, hope this time it will be something I can get my hands on.
I have read in comments that some guys did not received you last notifications via email, I am sure 90% it has something to do with their email providers as myself often encounter similar problems. I would advise them to open new accounts on Google or AOL and that should do the whole trick.
@ Mario , I also regularly have some issues with Akismet while trying to post on this site but got already accostomed to it, just save the whole text before sending comment in order not to start writing from the very beginning in case if the whole text is lost after uploading. Cheers !

And as an active user of it, I would recommend that please keep an eye on the KDE on Windows project (windows.kde.org) that makes it possible to use KDE applications like KDE Office on Windows. The current version is 4.2.1 and it works smoothly on Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. You may install the KDE applications as much as you want by making the selections on the post-install screen.

This is a comment from Michael Clyde - on “Make a wish …” article - regarding our anti-spam problem:
i was having problems getting through your anti-spam program and i followed it’s links and read a little bit, it said if problem keeps repeating itself and javascript and cookies are in fact enabled, delete browser cache restart browser and try again. Worked for me.
I know that trick with delating a browser cache -it does not work out in my case, probably it also depends on a browser one uses. It is not actually a big deal for me as I know this antispam plugin has the same issues on other sites too because at some point some people try to send their comments simultaneously, so it is known issue do not pay attention to it, as soon as the forum will start all these small problems will be solved automatically.

Why not ?
As pointed out by Dave, people should try a different email provider if they aren’t receiving anything. Myself, I was unable to download ConceptDraw using my hotmail account. Then I tried my Comcast account and the download started instantly!
By the way, ConceptDraw was an EXCELLENT find. I can’t wait to see this next one. I am now a dedicated fan with no more doubts!

actually the browser cache didn’t work!!
this is an issue with WP-SpamFree plugin and it can only be rectified by editor/editor side….
i mean 4 free team.

The Forum is on a completely different ( specialized ) script and wp-spam will be history.
Let’s close this subject please. You’ve got all details. Obviously true friends are not stopped by WP-Spam.

I did not download ConceptDraw, as I did not have any genuin use for it. Though I know that it is high calibre software and still much appreciate the opportunity. Obviously we dont all need the same applications. I look forward to more great software coming from you guys (hopefully some I can use…hehe)

Anyhow, could you tell when the mail is to be expected (if you don’t want to make this information public, just edit my post and don’t publish it, so I’m the only one to see…)
I have not received anything from you yet (spam folder checked) ; I guess it’s normal.But should there be a problem with your mail sending process, we won’t find anything out unless I know when you send the mail and you know I have received it or not. That’s why I feel free to ask on when this mail is to be expected.

Hi guys. I’ve been following your RSS feed for a while now. Had I bothered to check it earlier in the week I might have been able to get a crack at ConceptDraw. How stupid of me!!
Have you guys considered opening a Twitter account. It seems more and more companies and sites are doing it. I think Twitter would provide you with a lot more exposure and drive a good deal of traffic to your site. I don’t think you should tweet about the special or limited offers but something like “Have we got a special for you today, Check it out at 4 Free on Internet”.

Testament is one of my favourite bands and this email is quite old (when You could get gmail only by invite), but I still use it.
I think Twitter idea is good, but hmm.. if You’ll make such plans is facebook account also possible?

For those who having problems with Jave script should be enablet: I did have the same problem when I have to write to the comments on this sites, but after I did have only one “Tab” open in IE7 these problems did not come any more. Also, do not have have multiple windows(tabs) open in one internet browser window, but have ONE internet site open in the Internet explorer 7. Thats works with me, when I have to write in the “comments”. See you :o)

Although I have access to an alternative to Concept Draw, the few times I need it the notice was well appreciated. Sounds like a great program. A combination Registry Cleaner and Registry Defrag for 64 bit Vista would be great. Also a detailed backup program that could be used with 2008 Server and Win 7 would be helpful as well. Keep up the good work !

We try to keep the comments focused on Concept Draw OR VERY SIMILAR PRODUCTS. All other freewares will find their place on the Forum ( or in dedicated articles here - on the site ).

I was afraid that the ConceptDraw license would require an online verification, but it seems that as long as people manage to get the license from the promotion before, the activation of the program still works.

I don’t think there was anything abusive or personal in what I wrote. And since I didn’t keep a copy of what I wrote (after all, I expected to see it posted), I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Having said that, I understand and appreciate where you’re coming from: I could be anyone from anywhere — some unscrupulous and jealous competitor trying to undermine your work. And I suppose there is no way I can prove otherwise to you, with the anonymous nature of the internet (even though I sign with my real name, not somethink like “Rainbow 1234″).

Hi Bruce ! You’re talking about HF 6. Yes it still works but you can see for yourself there where these nice Easter surprises ( “asking” to be revealed ). Maybe this intensive rythm is not the best one for our community because - as you can see - we don’t really have tech feedbacks on every software.
We’re practically favouring the silent visitors - coming and grabbing freebies - and not the active members ( not having the time to talk about every article ).

Welcome ! We have said several times we don’t care what e-mail address you’re using, since we don’t have any intentions for newsletters or some internet marketing tools. Giving our readers e-mails to third parties is out of the question.
