Hello friends!
So you can choose, below in comments, between a + $ 200 pack of business plans and graphics softwares ( similar to ConceptDraw ) … And an innovative defragger from a well known software developer. Your requests in comments will decide wich one will be published this time. ( we’ll keep the other one for the next pair of hot finds )
Please remember we use this system because it is highly probable the promotion we’re revealing will start another buzz on the web, mainly on sites having more important traffic than 4 Free. And the software developer may decide to put an end to the promotion after a certain number of downloads. It was the case for 3 of our hot finds, so we’ll use again our e-mail pre-notification system in order to protect our regular readers, by giving them priority to the information.
Like usual the necessary condition to qualify on the e-mail list is to share your 3 software giveaway wishes in a comment to the dedicated article. We’re saying it the 20th time : this is the most simple but also important contribution you can bring to this community. For the simple fact you’re telling us where should we insist in our negociations with software developers.
Please also note that this time we won’t notify readers with zero activity in the month of April. Even if they have put their giveaway wishes somewhere in March. They shouldn’t worry ! A simple “hello” in comments from below will “reactivate” them on the list. You know we all need to show our readers are interested by software promotions!

My vote goes to innovative defragger. I am very happy with the ConceptDraw so far. I have used it to draw a chart of our network and also a fire and emergency plan of a convention hall.
Sorry for my illiteracy but I couldn’t really understand what business plans mean. Therefore my choice is defragger.

While i do use the commercial alternatives of the above type of software, it is always nice to have a backup to use on a second or third PC, due to licencing considerations of the commercial alternatives, so i would like to nominate the graphic software.

As I have obtained already great defragmentation tool (Paragon SE, which was negatively described in many comments, and which I finally found excellent after running it on my machine) I would prefer you to post graphics software first, to have a look at. Though i,m not sure whether I,m gonna download it as my habit is to install only those progs I really depend on in my day-to-day PC related work. Waiting for your post… Cheers!!!

Something’s not working in what you’re saying since you’re among those who posted many and long comments ( including this one ) … Though you have found necessary to tell everybody about a very difficult physical situation.
The best for everybody is to talk about software and avoid ANY personal problem.
Maybe you have noticed our often warnings about sneaky comments posted by a sick person under different names, EVERYDAY.
As already said he’s helping us keeping the community very clean, by focusing on the software.

All of you freebee’s are great. I’ve installed several on my laptop and poke around them when I have the time. I’m easily amused but my attention span is short but that tends to happen when you get older. Most of your finds are very useful to me and I appreciate all your work. I vote for the defragger.

If I’m not wrong the Team has problems with an uneducated young man loosing his time on other sites. Guys, if you accept advices from an old man, keep ignoring him.

I was lucky enough to get ConceptDraw Pro 7 before it was shut down (an amazing hot find), but am still curious about the business plans and graphics software.
I’m already using the defragger in Paragon Hard Disk Manager, with which I’ve been very pleased.

Maybe we are wrong but it is a similar situation to the 3-6 month limited promotions.
We don’t encourage the beta testing either. We admire the passionate beta testers but we think the software producers are using them and - oftenly - they don’t even get the final version for free.
Are we wrong ?
My preference would be the business/graphics software please. I already use iobit smart defrag (free) which works well. I would guess that the graphics software ‘find’ will not last as long either. thank you

The innovative defragger sounds very interesting to me.
Currently i am using an older free version of Diskeeper Lite (version 9)
which is available from the Intel site by by downloading their Desktop Utilities package.

Unfortunately i am not very artistic, so i tend to pass on the
drawing and photo editing software.
However, I do appreciate all the hard work required to bring us these softwares.

Hi, sorry it’s Polish version key, but after installing and getting key (”Zdobądz kod testowy”) You can change language to english in program (”Język”) although it might just adapt to Your system language.
I’ve been busy looking for some free software and seems like we all missed cool giveaway of Paint Shop Pro X ten days ago.
Again some software promotions that still work (I’m checking them now but may reply in the morning):

I would much rather have a defragger than graphic software.
Graphic software is only used by a handful of people, and of those, only a few would find them truly useful.

I think the Defragger would be more useful to me, though I don’t know if it would beat Auslogics in speed and efficiency. However, I have no use for another graphics software, so the defragger it is! =P

Don’t ever spend more than 2-5 minutes a day on 4 Free. This is not an hypocrite advice, but the reality..
It’s just that we don’t encourage general internet addiction. Real life is much more important, you will agree.

Graphics software sounds good, but more out of curiosity. I don’t know if business graphics is useful for me, but maybe I can find innovative uses for it.
As far as defraggers go, Jkdefrag is good enough for me and free. So is auslogics defrag. all awesome.
Suspense is killing me though!!! Cant wait to see what the surprise is, as usual.

That would make me vote for the “business plans and graphic pieces of software”… But I grabbed ConceptDraw7 in time, I have MindMap 5 (not fully understanding the difference between these two), Visio and my GOTD copy of EDraw Max… It’s a lot…
It’s all the more a lot that I don”t really need such programs and that I have no clue what’s a “business plan” giveaway is…

OK, but interest… I vote for the defragger.
To say the whole truth I use O&O Defrag 10 professional which I bought from avanquest in a special sale at half price…
Overall, it’s a nice product, but… I’m not fully satisfied with it. More exactly, I’m happy with it, but not impressed… I don’t know which defragger could be the HF7. Maybe it is this one… but if it’s another, I want to see if it works better…
As a matter of facts, I once owned O&O Defrag Pro 6.5 which I got for free, thanks to a promotional link (that doesn’t work anymore).
1/ I found no clear improvement between v6.5 to 10 (0&O defrag versions were 2,4, 6.5, 8, 10, 12… no idea why !)
2/ I’m not impressed with the OneButtonDefrag. Once pressed, it works in the background and defrags disks when required, adapting its activity according to your CPU usage, so as not slow down the computer. Nice… but, unless I don’t understand how it works, not impressive : each time I manually check my fragmentation rate, it’s a least 7%-10%. Ok… 7%/10% in a month is not too much… but it’s not trifling…
3/ O&O offers 5 defrag modes… STEALTH/SPACE and NAME/MODIFIED/ACCESS. The help file perfectly explains what these modes are… but fails to explain which one is the most suitable in one case… It’s quite easy to understand for the first two, but for the three last… better advices would be really welcome!
4/ The low level defrag (before windows starts) works flawlessly, but… there is no way to evaluate its efficiency and the procedure to interrupt it (if you want to skip it for whatever reason) doesn’t work at all.
Anyway, finding out how to use this low level defrag functionality is a bit tricky (as it is well hidden in the program, at least in v10)
As you said Paragon Total Defrag was not among their best products and reported some problems, I prefered not try this one…
So you see… Maybe the defragger will be more useful to me… but the graphic software is more appealing to me…
So… )
(Anyway, I want you to publish both, whatever the order…

Not that defraggers are useless, but it seems to me that their importance is blown all out of proportion to the benefit they deliver. IMHO, you should just get JKDefrag, which does a pretty good job, and move on.
So my vote would be the planning and diagramming software.

I would like to see the defragger. I’ve tried a bunch of them and have never found one that I completely like. If I had the skills, I would have taken the “good” points of various defraggers and combined them into one.
