   Hi folks! I’m going to try FaceDub program just for joking on my friends. As for download manager-I tried so many of them in the past and finally stopped forever with Internet Download Manager, which I think is one of the best on that field, so even not going to try GetGo, though some users might find it a handy tool.    Not artistic enough to try FaceDub.
   I use http://www.freedownloadmanager.org which seems to do all GetGo will do, as well as torrents (for those interested in that) and am currently happy with it, so will pass on GetGo

   FaceDub seems a great concept but all I can find is a v1.5 in trial mode (5 dubbings)

   I try to grab it using your link or using the one (actually the same!) provided in the free stuff page in my brothersoft account !

   Sure it’s the same, that’s why I said I only got a free trial of v1.5 which is not what expected if I’m correct.

   thanks again.
   GetGo Download Manager is a hot find independently.
   if it’s preference be as good as it’s interface,then will become my default download manager.
   FDM is very stable but it doesn’t have speedometer diagram.

   Just tried the download manager… It does not boost speed of download like Orbit Downloader does. Tried the same file with both the same file from Microsoft site. GetGo was same download speed if I downloaded it regularly using a browser. Orbit was 200kb/s faster

    Hi Guys…
    If I compared GetGo and Orbit than the result is:
    GetGo is +/- 5% faster than orbit (single or mass), Nice GUI and have a preview window and 4Free had a good reviews above for the features indeed!
    But I prefer orbit for personal reasons: simple interface and i get used to it
    Moreover GetGo is a freeware anyway! If fast is the only reason then gigaget maybe the fasted in freeware section!

    Hi! Comparing with the free edition I think this Special Edition for GetCo has the big advantage of being AddFree

    GetGo Download Manager has been a freeware for sometime now
    (used to be shareware)
    i don’t know what this Brothersoft promo is about.
    Its not the best in its class (download accelerator) when compared to
    the likes of DAP or Orbit but it downloads just fine.
    If you want other , better ,download accelerators just pick one from

    the list

    There are many download accelerators but these are some of the

    finest there are.Try out all of those and use one that suits you the

    best.Will see if i can find more.

    This seems to be the ( important ) difference.

    I tried the GetGo Download Manager and although it did speed up the download, it did not do it better than Orbit Downloader (which I normally use). It also has this weird glitch that prevents me from starting at full speed with 10 threads and the download speed stays at below 20KBps (and even stopping a few times) until I lower the number of threads and increase it again. I tried that a few times and left it a while longer to see if it would increase by itself without decreasing the number of threads. The speed did increase after a while but then I couldn’t stop the download (stop, delete buttons didn’t work, which did before) and it was a while before they worked again.

    So for now, I’m going to stick with Orbit Downloader.

    Thanks guys for publishing these finds,and since I’m not really a photo processing enthusiast,I tried the other one,GetGo.Nice gui,relatively easy to use,and,the best part,it can download flv videos from sites like youtube(tried it,it works ) The only thing that I noticed and didn’t like is that it installs Ask toolbar automatically(without even Ask-ing me ) but that can be easily unistalled later,and also changes your homepage to ask.com.Besides those inconvenients,it’s a nice download manager that delivers what it promises.

    Hi guys !!
    Always i was in search of a good download manger.
    (yet to find one - so i use a combination of D/L managers!!)
    So i straight away gave a try to this GetGo download manager.

    Well it has got a list of disadvantages.
    1) it installs a getgo toolbar without asking me(in firefox).
    2)it doesn’t accelerate as good as orbit or flashget which i use
    (As for as acceleration is concerned IDM is the best )
    3)a test download from a file hosting site, it failed.
    while orbit worked flawlessly.

    Well as far as GUI is concerned its good.

    So i will stick with orbit and flashget.
    Anyhow thanks for the find!!

    Thanks guys, but no go for me. I do all my image editing in Adobe Photoshop CS4 and/or ImageMagick(which is free too btw, http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php ) which is quite powerful once one learns how to use it… I write EXEs for it that do everything for me. For download accelerators/managers I use FF3 w/ FlashGot.

    Since you all guys share your experiences concerning different Download Managers I want to add two more good ones to your list, they are my second choice after IDM.
    LeechGet Download manager, contains no adds at all, free for personal use only.

    but i did use the version of GetGo download manager that was offered before the promo , it didn’t
    contain any ads.Although it did install a toolbar , but that was like the toolbar that Orbit installs
    for managing downloads from within the browser

    G’Day, Installed both applications on my test PC, currently Windows 7, FaceDub does not work, but it is not really something i would usually need and if i do have a need for this type of application i will just use Photoshop. GetGo installs and runs on Windows 7, but i found that it really does not quicken up the downloads, in fact the downloads run slower in some cases, however a download manager is handy to have for the ability to stop and start downloads at your leisure. As a side note Windows 7 has happily run all but a handfull of applications so far, so am looking forward to its full release (hope it will be better priced than Vista was).

    Thank you for the two items. I got them already. I am not good at image processing at all, I just use simple programs. For the download manager, I use DownThemAll! extension of the Firefox.

    By the way, I could not manage to get the Hot Find 10 items but thank you anyway.

    I try to shy away from new down-loaders and turbochargers because they never seem to quite add up to their advertising, are filled with advertising or complicated instructions.
    I have been using Fresh Devices Fresh Download ever since they came out with it. They are always improving the products they have to include anything new. Full featured, Add-free, Virus Free, and Nag Free products.

    maybe those guys are innocents but … A software developer who has :
    - no tradition/history ( … but let’s say it’s a new brand )
    - NO “ABOUT US” PAGE ( unacceptable ! )
    - and the worst : it’s WHOISGUARDED !!!
    To be honest I would never take the risk to install a software supplied by this kind of owner.

    Hi Folks,
    Just dropped in to say hello and report that the facedub offer must be over cos it asks for money now.
    Also, i will try Getgo today and let you know what i think. Personally i use DAP but find it takes over everything concerning downloading. It svery fast though and thats why i overlook its aggressive takeover nature.

    Facedub was always a shareware ( Pro and Elite versions ).
    There is also a free version but it has annoying limitations. ( watermarks, etc…)
    The Brothersoft special edition is a good deal, indeed.
