While working on what we have promised, we have chosen this very-easy-to-publish find from Mayur.
This video-tool looks very simple and light ( the 2,27 Mo setup file installs 3,01 Mo on your HDD ) … But it supplies an impressive amount of tools and features.
We haven’t really met a similar software on 4 Free … There was only Cyberlink YouCam2 , but it has only web-cam related features ( funny and innovative, indeed ) … While WInAVI Video Capture ( previously sold for $ 29.95 ) has additional interestingTV, DV recording possibilities.
Maybe it can be categorized as old , but does it matter when one needs a software for these particular operations ? Anyway, we can only be glad to talk about a different kind of software on 4Free.

Have Vegas Move Studio but thought I would try this out.
After downloading, I started getting error messages that I had no disc in drive. Had to hit cancel three or four times to clear the message. Also my KMPlayer would not work after installing.
Thought I would have to uninstall but tried restart first. Seems to have taken care of problem. Connected Camcorder, started program, and it recorded to set format fine. Hoping the error messages will not appear again.
Thanks.

Hi !
… All that on Vista, I presume (?)
There are different reactions on the web, about working ( or not ) on Vista.
Thank you!
Looks good but I don’t think I’d use it very much so I think I will pass. Anyways, thanks Mayur.

Hi,
Thanks for this find. Downloaded and it installed fine on my Win7 machine. However, when I try to record a video from my webcam, the recorder timer runs on the app. But I cannot find the video on my machine. Also, clicking on the snapshot button caused the program to crash. Maybe it is something that I did wrong, or an issue with Win7. Will try it again later
Thanks.

Hi !
It’s hard to believe this old code will work fine on W7. But who knows !
Thank you for the fast feedback !
Nice toy!
DL installed and registered like very fast ( on my XP Home SP3 ). For the moment I was only able to check the camera capture features. It does what is says and the quality of the output is great. .
Thanks Mayur & 4 Free !
I haven’t a similar program; I DL this one, because can be useful in the future.

Hi Brullo !
This looks very useful, more specifically to what I am often doing, and thus a definite download. Good stuff.

Hi Brendan !
Hum… Can’t the video editing software we got from 4free (like cyberlink power director) capture videos?
So why grab/purchase a capture tool, when I can’t imagine an editing tool that couldn’t capture?
Come on Franck ! It’s a different tool. Not a HF … but a find.
And not everybody grabbed Cyberlink PD. There were +30 000 brand new 4Free readers in the last two month.
Regards !
As one of those brand-new readers, I’m thankful for this find–maybe a HF like Cyberlink PD will come along in the future, and maybe not (or not soon enough), so I’m glad to have a shot at this right now (and for a 5-second download, why not?).
Now to get to work converting all those family videos on VHS and 8mm before the VCR or camcorder stop working forever!

Hi !
Hi
Sent this message to the technical support team — and awaiting a response — welcome any suggestions from forum members to help resolve this. — thanks
Dear Sir,
I am trying to record video from my web camera using WinAVI Video Capture program.
I have set it in options to record to my hard drive.
But when I ht record I get this message after a few seconds:
“The destination MPEG/DVD file cannot be written. Please check your harddrive and Windows, make sure it can be written.”
I am using Windows 7 premium - I have restarted my machine several times and tried to run the software in compatiblity mode for Windows 95, Windows XP and Vista with no luck.
I like the software and I can see my web camera working very well — but I just cant record anyth
Please advise.
Thanks
Still cant get this working and no response from technical support as yet.
If anyone has any ideas please post them here - thanks
I really would like to get this working.
Hmm … WinAVI support not answering ?
No wonder they have whoisguard protection … No support forums …
And they expect to be appreciated by the software users ?!
