Jonathan’s short review :
I wanted to compare this with Convert X to DVD. The first thing I noticed with ZC DVD, is that it has a nicer GUI then convert-X does, it also allows you more freedom with the menu creation then Convert-X does.
Now the true test, I took a 704 MB AVI and told ZC DVD to create this onto a blank DVD, the entire process took around 30 mins to complete.
Now the cons: Convert-X, which I have been using for over a year, seems to me at least to be faster in the conversion, however that may be due to the build in feature that allows you set the CPU priority, and Convert-X has some ‘cute’ voice prompts when there is a problem or to let you know to insert a blank disc, and when it is done, ZC DVD does not have that, but if you place a blank disc into the drive it will burn automatically and then eject the disc when completed.
Bottom line: If you are looking for a good converting program that allows some artistic liberties, then ZC DVD is for you, otherwise, if you need just a plain generic looking menu (without having to hunt for the additional features) then convert-x is the better choice!

I just ran trial version from developer’s website. It crashed right away on adding a media file.
This was an AVCHD file but it allowed me to pick it. I was running the software inside Sandboxie.

we could made or edit the frame which is saved under .tga file format.
Very easy and compact but it can be more convenient if:
- I could adding a picture(s) and / or text in front of the BG
- Choices between picture (video’s snap shot) + link OR only link without picture.
As we all have Corel PaintShop X

This version is not good because impossible to importe all formats.
the vesion 6.3.8 is more better and you can add very much formats the license key doesn’t work with this version.

Here is what I always do with registrations languages that I don’t understand : I load Google translator at http://translate.google.com/translate_t# (I have an icon for it on the desktop), copy and paste the message text that appears after any entry I do and translate it to English ( I’ve noticed that the translations to English are much better than to my own language, so I use English as default). On the translation of this specific message, it was stated that I wasn’t able to register, so I tried another account, as after all these years I’ve learned that sometimes some sites do not like some types of accounts, Hotmail being the worst of all.

I use DVDFlick A LOT, but, at least at my computer, I just can’t make the menus to work, that is, if you want to put 2 or 3 different films on same DVD and want a menu to choose whichever you want. It is an excellent open source program. One keeps on adding files and it shrinks the whole thing automatically to fit them all on the DVD. VERY handy! And end quality is also very good.
