a-squared Anti-Malware 4.5 - 4 Free again ( simple Reminder, not HF )

Hi friends !

We have all seen it everywhere and there were +20 4Free’ers who notified us ( Thank YOU ! ) .. So let’s remind it to all our readers. ( there was a wave of +20.000 newcomers, last week. WELCOME NEW FRIENDS ! ) :-)

.

We use a-squared Anti-Malware 4.5 and we strongly recommend it ! The 4Free BestS - Best Adware/Spyware/Scumware Remover Survey is already ranking it on a well-deserved 1st place.

We remember with pleasure about the previous a-squared Anti-Malware 4.5 promotion , when the team has “extended” the possibility to grab it, through a very simple trick :-)

Beside working flawlessly on Vista or XP machines ( we imagine W7, too ), it still has the best threats detection rate.

.

.

The actual promotion page is HERE.  Go and grab it !

The 24 hrs promotion ( 11-12/11 at 11:11 CET ) has just started when we’re publishing this article. Good luck everybody.

I have just downloaded and installed program. It’s working good.
I have a question . Do I need any other anti virus software with this one ? Is alone a-squared anti-malware enough for my laptop ? Thanks for the reminder.

    Hi!
Theoretically it should be enough. But I can tell you it works great on two machines already having antivirus software; one with with Avast and one with Avira.
    Thank you!

I’ve not received a key for the software nor a software link

Maybe you have bad luck … Because it only took 5 mins for me - before answering now - to get another key.
You receive a first mail where you must access the confirmation link.
3-5 mins later you receive the second email message, containing the license key and DL.
    Good luck !

    Hi everyone,

    I just concluded my registration for a-squared Anti-Malware 4.5
If it’s of any interest, here’s some useful info on graping it without getting stressed out:
    1. Set up a knew account through the promo page, using a legit email account (”forwarding” emails get lost).
    2. You’ll get an email from Emsisoft, containing a link to unlock your account, a link to log in to your account and a license code whcih you use to activate a 12 mths full version license.
    3. After the above, you can install the program whenever you feel to, as long as it’s within 3 mths from registration date; after that the license coupon expires (info supplied by Emsisoft guy at wilderssecurity forum).

I’ve been using it for quite some time and I can assure you it IS good and not heavy on resource use.
    Though it’s called an anti-malware, it’s actually an Antivirus+Antimalware.
    Works great with Online Armor.

    See ya!!

One important thing to know… If you are using 64-bit system you wont be able to activate Malware- IDS and Surf Protection features of a-squared anti-malware. That’s bad. So it’s better to use other security software on 64 bit system…

I’m running on a Vista 64-bit system with Windows Defender on but without any anti-Malware/Adware/Spyware installed, and my primary web browser is Opera. I have not been bothered with any Malware/Adware/Spyware so far. But if I would need an anti-Malware/Adware/Spyware, a-squared will be the first one I’ll consdier.
    Thanks for the reminder!

You guys are on a roll! I recently attempted to install the free BullGuard promotion but ran into a problem that may be of interest to others. I uninstalled Avira Free and Comodo using Revo Uninstaller in the Advanced mode but didn’t use any additional registry cleaner. When I attempted to install BG I got a msg that I needed a SSL internet connection. Well after trying a few things, it was late in the evening of the deadline, I gave up and tried to re-install Avira. Surprise, surprise, suprise same msg. So after so more research I tried installing Avira in Safe Mode again no go. I then tried a program that I had been curious about for some time and was going to write about in 4Free after trying it, AppRemover from Technibble.
“AppRemover is a small, free and portable utility designed to be a single removal tool for a huge list of security products. It can remove products made by Avast!, AVG, Avira, BullGuard, CA, ClamWin, ESET, F-Secure, Kaspersky, Lavasoft, McAfee, Microsoft, Norman, Panda, Sophos, Symantec, TrendMicro, TrustPort, Webroot and many more.”
Unfortunately this didn’t do the trick although in all fairness Avira was only partially installed at this time so I’m going to try it again as soon as I get my license for a-squared. Anyway the short story is that I used Everything to find all left over entries from Avira and deleted them. Then I was able to properly re-install Avira.

I have installed it and already I love it. I have installed 360 and will use this from now on. Very easy to use and I was surprised at the stuff it blocked.
Seems to be doing a great job but I will let you know as the time goes on.
    Good looking out.

    Hi,
    @Toys4Boys
Your adventure sure sounds … big. I’ll side up with about AppRemover from Technibble - it’s really great & here’s evidence: when I run the latest version of Ad-Aware for the 1st time, it conflicted with KIS and screwed the latter up so badly I couldn’t boot in normal mode. AppRemover managed to completely uninstall KIS in safe-mode.
I also tried out the BullGuard IS Suite, which I had two issues with:
    1. Its Firewall had some issues with my net connection, causing it to break randomly at least once a day.
    2. It’s the 1st S/W I had to manyally add its own auto updater to the rules of the Firewall to get it to auto update its defs - come again?
I don’t want to bash it, but those are signs of a no-keeper to me.

Needlees to say that I’m another happy 1yr licensed user of a-squared Anti-Malware.

    Cheers.
