HF 43 coming ! A Kaspersky Product !!

Hi friends !

We hope you’re all having a great peaceful Sunday.

About the HF … All’s said ! ( and you know we do not encourage the usual 3-6 month Kaspersky promotions ) :)

Keep in touch!

.

Reminder

NEW RULE - for the emailed HF pre-notifications: we are asking our friends ( “green” or not … everyone ! ) to kindly take our BestS Surveys ( but the first two conditions must be fullfiled - see in below ).

In one word : to participate.

We really hope you understand how important these surveys are for our community.

… It’s just the usual give-and-take situation on 4Free .

1. Like a few friends have already done , ALL READERS ( wanting to help ) SHOULD KINDLY SHARE THEIR CHOICES in the 4Free BestS surveys … And NOT only the “green card owners”.

Why ! Because most of our active readers will go green , sooner or later ( + 200 turning green in November and December 2009 ! ). :)

Once you turn green … Your comments on every BestS survey will also become green … And your choices will be taken into consideration.

2. And ANYWAY, like everything on 4 Free, these surveys are GENUINE and interactive :)

One can reconsider his choices at any given moment. It’s easy to cancel the old choices and take into consideration the new ones.

This way the 4 Free BestS surveys will always be as up-to-date as possible.

We hope that all our readers have understood the reasons why we’re using the HF procedure, trying to give first access to our readers ( through the email pre-notification system )  :

- When the software found in a free promotion is very important …
- AND / OR  no other sites ( or very few ) have mentioned the found promotion …
- AND / OR  the download is very slow and it is advisible to be among the first to download …
- AND / OR  a sudden popularity of the registration and download links will force the owners to stop the promotion.

As always recently active members ( one simple Hello in the last 2 weeks  ) will receive email notifications ( please make sure you are qualified for the pre-notification by simply taking our BestS surveys HERE and sharing your software giveaway whises HERE ). You have seen that it’s always better to be among the first to register and download!

I got Kaspersky Internet security for 1 year (after mail in rebate) when I bought a new laptop last year. It’s about to expire in 2 months. This is the best security software I have ever used so far..Thanks guys for another quality hot find… I have to say, Never pay for a software as 4 free is always there…

    Hi,
The upcoming HF has certainly made my Sunday a lot brighter!
Once again, managed to keep me on my toes - I know there’s got to be a way to contribute to this community; I just hope I’ll find it soon.
Waiting eagerly to see what exactly this is about. I’ll risk speculating that, since 4Free doesn’t encourage the 3-6 mths promotions, it’s going to be in the line of the a-square Antimalware promo.
    Thanks.

Hey, why did you feel the need to clarify it’s a 100% legal promotion? Of course it’ll be, they always are here.
I just meant I expect it to be a 1 yr license, like this months a-squared one.
Did it sound like I was implying that it wouldn’t be legal? I’m sorry if it did.

    1 point
No, it was not that aspect.
I thought you were reffering to the previous aSquared promotion …

I’ve been thinking about trying KIS 2010 for a while so if this is what you have for us i may well give it a go. NIS 2010 is ok but i’m getting a little fed up with all the false positives.
The best one was a CCleaner download from the official site!! If it’s just the AV it’ll still be useful for one of my other machines. Thanking you in advance…

I run 2 av products on my machine without problems, but 3 would be 100% paranoid mode and would slow down my PC for sure.

A Kaspersky product would be nice. The last time I used their anti-virus product the memory resident module was too heavy on system resources, but this was a long time ago.
I kept it as a standalone scanner however because it was the best I had used. I just made sure I scanned any downloads with Kaspersky before I installed them.

    Hi everyone,

@4Free (regarding the reply to TJ)
If you’ll allow me: when it comes to security, protection efficiency comes before resources hog, provided of course that the security app is not killing your system. I think one should be prepared to “sacrifice” a bit of RAM or/ and speed in order to get the best possible protection.
    Hi!
I don’t think he meant “security” by “user-friendly”. It was rather me including the security issue when using “computer-friendly”.
But that’s not very important. There’s no use to develop an invented topic.
It’s good to see you’re using correct French expressions, nevertheless.

    @Vinod
Though I’ve never been a Panda user myself, if you check the web you’ll find that Kaspersky, in comparison to Panda, is far-far better; its engine is considered crème de la crème. I’ve been a KIS user for a long time, and though it’s a bit heavy on resources, which also depends on the power of your system (most noticeable at boot time), it’s really great: never got infected with anything all the time I had it guarding my system. And I wouldn’t say it’s much heavier than a-squared+Online Armor - if you have at least 1GB RAM and a decent CPU you’re good to go.

    1 point
    Thank you!

  53. Franck
    23 November, 2009

I must be really tired (and therefore I beg your pardon), but… what French expressions?!?

    Hi Franck ! :)
He said ” … its engine is considered crème de la crème “. ( about Kaspersky )
Not bad at all. We can only like it!

  54. 23 November, 2009

well i have KIS 2010 cause i was rejected as a housparty.com host some time back, they sent keys to all those who did not make the cut, i would love to have a fresh new license though, hope it’s KIS 2010, but if someone comes along and generates hundreds of keys for his blog or what not, then blacklisting of keys might  happen.

    1 point
    Hi !
Yeah ! We have recently witnessed together that kind of behaviour from a crook-teenager-blogger.
If I’m not wrong you were NOT among the ones blaming the FRAUD. ( neither did we , but that was just because we - as owners of 4Free - could have easily been accused of subjectivity)
Does this means you approve it ?
I remember very well your nice “silly” compliment, on a debate on 4Free. Hmmm !… You’re not always opening your mouth for defending “the good-honest causes”.
… And you’re not the only one, unfortunately.
Sorry for the long answer ! Just using your comment to pass a message to all REAL readers like you .:)

    Hi guys,
I think I have tried just about most AV’s out there…except for kaspersky, so maybe its time i tried it :)
Why people still talk about Norton is beyond me…I would not use that crap if it was given to me for free..for life!
The only people who rate it are websites that Norton advertises on. Honestly guys….read the tech sites with competent user reviews and not magazine sites that are only there for advertising revenue.
The fastest (least resources ) and most efficient AV I have personally used is eset NOD32.

Nice HF! They do have some pretty good products.
I’m sure it’ll be one of the Home-oriented products, so there are only 4 options… If we discard Mac and Mobile, that leaves us with the classic: AV or IS. Either is more than welcome!

Yes I thought it was that but:
    - one can obviously say “crème de la crème” in French, but I’ll find it charmingly old-fashioned (but maybe I’m wrong)
    - if you still have Babylon from a previous find, click on “crème de la crème”. The result will be from the English to French dictionary.

I must say I also like it a lot to read French words and expressions. Thanks 26Dolphins, I wasn’t aware “crème de la crème” was also an English expression… so :)

    In other words - according to Babylon - that’s a 100 % English expression. Cool ! :D

@Ishaan, no I’m not a pro!! Besides, who does all the work is my computer and as it accepts 2 av’s programs running at the same time without any problems, I just let it go. As far as I can remember, I’ve never had a virus or any bad stuff in my pc.

  63. 26Dolphins
    24 November, 2009

    Hi,
    (a bit out of topic)

    @Franck and 4Free
Isn’t the amount of expressions considered originally English amazing?
I definetely didn’t use/ mean “crème de la crème” as an English one. And yes, my poor French usually sounds old-fashioned as I took it up at school (which was some 20 yrs ago) and have practically zero chances to practice it these days. Still, a lot of French expressions have a certain charm and appeal to me - I even use them in my native tongue wording, which isn’t English either.

    But back to SW, cheers!

B4 uninstalling Avira u could have verified the key by activating it online at:
