What this version does NOT have from the latest Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6 ?
Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6 can now defragment your system when it boots, giving much better results as it can now defragment files that would otherwise be open and locked. There’s also an antispyware module, and a content menu manager that makes it easy to remove redundant entries left behind by long-uninstalled applications.

I have updated the article with the direct DL.
I could not download the program at first. I had to use a free web proxy, but I finally got it.
There are other free programs available at this site. All except for Magical Snap require you to leave “Get full version key” checked during installation.

Looks like Ashampoo can do everything except OS…
Hope this software won’t damage my system like WinSysClean 2009, which unfortunately, made my Firefox stop working after cleaning the system cache.

I’m now completely put off by the bewildering number of different “versions” of Ashampoo’s software.
Some are numbered, some are dated, some are “advanced”. What is the point of this, beyond making it impossible for people to know what features they’re getting or whether or not they’re up to date?
Couple this with Ashampoo’s constant spamming of my inbox and I’m left with a very bad taste in my mouth.

We can all understand these are marketing strategies but who can stop them doing that. You install the software if you like it and that’s all !

We have tried to put the direct DL but somehow it only works once or twice and then it gives a errorr message.
You can see how your link is not working anymore, too.

I do have to say right off that I am using TuneUp Utilities 2009, however, I did get a chance to take a look at WinOptimizer 2010.
It is a nice program and like the other Ashampoo products I have on my PC, is well designed. It does what it says it does and does it well under WIndows XP Pro SP3.
It is simply a matter of personal taste that I stuck with TuneUp Utilities.
