This is a real … German invasion. Oops we’re talking about software promotions, nothing to do with historical situations.
Unfortunately, like said, we find these promotions in a very busy period and, beeing unable to check them ourselves … All we can do is to count on 4Free’ers - the ones having the time to install - for confirming solutions for getting the English version.
The today’s revealed promotion is for a specialized memory optimizer.
.
SuperRam ( RRP $10.99) increases computer performance by freeing wasted memory back to your computer. How to grab SuperRam for free ?
1. The registration page is HERE. Go and fill in your names and email address and hit “Senden”
2. You will receive a first email message where you must access the confirmation link.
3. After confirmation you will receive a second email message, containing the license key AND the download link will .
We have not installed it but here are the usual solutions regarding the download links :
A. It’s not bad to always try the serial with the latest version, of course ! Official direct download HERE ( 2,4 MB installer - TRIAL )
B. Note that the installer from Pro.de is called “superram_5.exe”. ( 1,4 MB installer ) It’s obviously NOT the latest V6, but the previous V5.
The previous version available on Pro.de was V 5.7.28.2008 - see it HERE ( no download link ). This detail can be important in case this version was the one given away by Pro.de.
C. In case the promotion is intended for V 5.7.28.2008 ONLY, and the supplied installer is German-only … We have found what seems to be English installers for V 5.7.28.2008 on Computerworld Poland HERE ( 983 Kb installer ) OR on Brothersoft Japan ( LOL ! ) HERE ( 2,4 MB installer )
Registration instruction from the developer: After installing the software you must enter this name/serial into the software by opening the product and clicking the link ‘Click to enter serial number’.
.
That’s it !
We hope it’s useful. Enjoy everyone !

Hi !
Has anybody installed it please ?
I’m curious how effective this tool is.
For unsavvy users like me is there any risk to use it ?
German means quality. We’ve had so many proofs on 4Free.
Thank you guys !
Thanks! I’ll try it.

Thanks team!
Like xav I wonder how effective this kind of memory optimizers can be ?
Has anybody ever noticed important improvements after a optimization session ?
Thank in advance !
I’m waiting for the keys and download links. I’ll report back when I’ve tried it. Thanks folks.
Wow. Impresivly big amount of promotions.
I don`t use this kind of appz. What are they for?
Memory should be used. If it isn`t been used it is worthless.
PS.
I don`t like german invasions
This is a great find!
I have been using ‘SuperRam’ & other PGware software (PcMedic, PcBoost, GameGain & Throttle) from the days when I had my very first computer & they have always never failed to do exactly what they are supposed to do, To automatically tweak your system for the best performance!
I purchased a licence for each of these programs over six years ago & because they are lifetime licences, I have always had the latest version, even when its a major release upgrade, its always a FREE upgrade. So I have a lot of respect for PGware because they keep their promise of ‘Lifetime Upgrade’ not like other software companies who suckered me into similar deals & then decide to change the name of the latest build to get out the lifetime guarantee.
Anyway getting back to this ‘SuperRam’ freebie. I’ve tried all of the alternative installers listed & it is only the one that is provided with the emailed serial that will work . all of the others will just give you an invalid serial number. Even though this is is an older version the only real difference I can see compared with the latest one is just a benchmarking test . This is one of those programs that you install & forget because it does it all for you & you will only notice it when your computers ram has reached a critical point, where it will pull back some of the RAM that is being hogged. So if you can live with not being able to read German it will still do the same job , whatever the language as it is all automated.
DON’T be tempted to click the ‘nach Updates suchen’ button because it will install the latest version & revert it back to ‘TRIAL’, unless you want to buy the program! In which case I would uninstall it first & reinstall it with a version of your chosen language just in case you’re stuck with the German version for life.
All I can say I you like it’s worth buying , it won’t dazzle you or perform magic but when you need it, it works & it’s the same with PGwares other software. I know I sound like a bit of a ‘Fanboy’ but the software costs peanuts & it has outlived every other bit of software I have used in the last six years on XP, Vista & now Win7. I’m not a ‘Fanboy’ but someone who just appreciates a good deal!
All the best,
dingo
Alles in Deutsch
Thanks 4Free!
You guys are doing great.
Just keep rolling this giveaways invasion, no matter if german or not!
Lots of stuff to look at! Thanks for all your work.
RAM optimizers, as a category, tend to be a wonderful place for programmers to slide in impressive looking products which actually do little or nothing. I’m not saying SuperRam is like that, but the whole field is suspect. One source for that statement: article by Scott Dunn, windowssecrets.com/comp/081106#story1.
My approach would be to not touch any of these products unless they have been reviewed and recommended by someone who really knows the technical insides of RAM. My guess is that few, if any, of us 4Free commenters qualify.
For TechSupportAlert’s recommendation for the best free RAM optimizer (one that actually does something useful), see: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-memory-optimizer.htm.
Hi,
Quite funny how 4Freeers sort of … lurk on each other to take the … plunge on installing & trying this out.
Though I highly appreciate all the effort the 4Free Team puts into all of this, I’m going to pass on this - sorry guys & girls, won’t be the first one - for the simple reason I already use an app of this kind, CleanMem (found out about it through TSA & Ghacks; it’s free) and I’ll stick to it based on the following:
If I understood it correct, SuperRam needs to run in the background (on their site it says that it runs as a Win Service), while CleanMem runs in predefined intervals (and very light on resources), does what it needs to do (by calling the Windows API EmptyWorkingSet for each processes, which does the actual job) and closes till the next interval. For anyone interested, more info here: http://www.pcwintech.com/cleanmem.
I got interested in this because of the horrible … habit Firefox has to hold on to RAM. CleanMem does the job, keeping RAM usage by Firefox on acceptable levels.
I don’t want to dishearten anyone, but - for what it’s worth - the review on this and couple more of their apps over at sharewarejunkies.com is not very positive, neither at PC Advisor. Of course, one has to test for himself/ herself to judge (different users - different needs).
Who knows, I might give it a try after all.
@Bruce Fraser
I’m not sure your first link is really relevant to this. Beside the fact that it’s quite old, it’s about speedup utilities with focus on a couple in particular.
Freeing up “wasted” RAM is not about speeding up your PC, it’s about being able to run more programs without hiccups. An interesting read over at Lifehacker’s:
http://lifehacker.com/5415355/do-you-really-need-more-than-4gb-of-ram
The part: “More RAM Means Better Multi-Tasking”.
Got a bit carried away, will sign off now.
Cheers.
Thanks for this offer!
I will not use this one because I am satisfied with the one that is included in Glary Utilities (Free or Paid versions alike).
Basically, all RAM “optimizers” just move the data from RAM to the disk cache (Virtual Memory), resulting in temporarily freeing physical memory (RAM) but when you bring back a program from the background to the foreground, it (the program) will have to fetch the data from the cache and bring it back into the RAM.
So there is not much benefit to that part of the work!
The part where it gives me a bit of usefulness is when I want to flush out “leakage” from, say, Firefox who is notorious from grabbing RAM and holding it prisoner.
It does crash once in a while or freeze the system but it is not so painful most of the time!
And while working, it normally takes 100% of the available resources for a few seconds (or minutes if you have been working long with many tabs opened in your browser(s), like I do!)

Thanks to 26Dolphins and Quantum Dragon for your input. I’m heartened to read some knowledgeable comments which go beyond “Wowie! This looks great.” Thanks also for correcting my oversight.
I have tried memory optimizers in the past and recently o&o clevercache 6 from a promotion posted on this site. But from my experience with them, I have found they make no serious difference on my machine with 1.5 gig ram.
Maybe if you have 1 gig or less they may be of assistance.
I think there is probably no substitute for adding extra ram, so will pass on this promotion.
I did check the links out to see what the program was like, and have found the polish one is not working.
And I would not use Brothersoft if you paid me!. (RED on WOT). Especially because they turn up on your Aimersoft article.
